DESCRIPTION:

Each single-dose prefilled auto injector provides a1.67 mg dose of atropine base (equivalent to 2 mg atropine sulfate) in aself-contained unit designed for self or caregiver administration.

Each 2 mg Atropine autoinjector delivers atropine in0.7 mL of sterile pyrogen-free solution containing the inactive ingredients:citric acid and sodium citrate (buffer), glycerin 12.47 mg, and phenol 2.8 mg.The pH range is 4.1- 4.5.

After the 2 mg Atropine autoinjector has beenactivated, the empty container should be disposed of properly (see DOSAGE ANDADMINISTRATION). It cannot be refilled, nor can the protruding needle beretracted.

SIDE EFFECTS :

AtropineSulfate Injection is an antimuscarinic agentused to treat bradycardia (low heart rate), reduce salivation and bronchialsecretions before surgery, as an antidote for overdose of cholinergic drugs ormushroom poisoning. Common side effects of atropine sulfate include:

• Dry mouth,
• Blurred vision
• Sensitivity to light
• Lack of sweating
• Dizziness
• Nausea
• Loss of balance
• Hypersensitivity reactions (such as skin rash), and
• Rapid heartbeat (tachycardia).
